Report from Round 4 of the Link Up Ltd MSA British Autotest Championship.

The Firefly Autotest is a new edition to the MSA Championship calendar run by Whitchurch Motor Club at Shrewsbury Livestock Market, the event was also raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and over £160 was donated on the day. Dave Evans driving his Blitz Special became the fourth winner from four events, in doing so took his first ever MSA victory and on his home event.  Pre-event favourite Richard Pinkney had a nightmare start and picked up a maximum time on the opening test, but a stunning run of fastest times in class, saw him overhaul Stephen Morten by Test 10 and winning the class by 9.9 secs after 15 tests and finishing 2nd overall, Morten rounding off the podium to consolidate his Championship points lead.
Lee Valentine bounced back after mechanical problems at the previous round to win Class B in his Vauxhall Nova, Rob Rolston took Class A in his 1380 Mini and Class E leader Kevin Hardwick in his Peugeot 205 had to settle for second behind the MX5 of Mike Biss.

Report from Round 3 of the Link Up Ltd MSA British Autotest Championship, the Juniper Autotest organised by CSMA.

Ian Chapman driving a Sylva Riot took his first outright win at MSA Championship level at the Juniper Autotest at the MK Stadium in Milton Keynes.  Paul Fobister in the Haigh Special went into the final run of 3 tests only 1.6 seconds behind Chapman, but was unable to match the pace, finishing 2nd overall and 1st in class was Fobister's best MSA result to date.
There was disappointment for Chris Chapman, who had led the event from the start, only for the handbrake to fail resulting in a maximum time penalty on Test 12, dropping him out of contention for the win.  Roger Holder had borrowed Gavin Dickson's Nova for the day and set a blistering pace in Class B, finishing 3rd overall and only 5.2 seconds off FTD.
